A clinic exercise is useful only when it supports life outside the clinic. Evaluation may consider walking on different surfaces, turning, looking around while moving, transfers, reaction strategies, strength, vision-related symptoms, and tolerance for head motion.
Kristen holds a Certificate in Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University and is LSVT BIG certified. She has experience with complex vestibular cases and a strong interest in helping people with Parkinson’s disease stay active.
Appointments are reserved for one patient at a time. The plan can be adjusted to your response, and home activities can be designed around the space and equipment you realistically have available.

Your first appointment
Use the first visit to clarify the problem and the plan.
Kristen begins by asking how symptoms started, which movements or places trigger them, whether you have fallen or nearly fallen, and what activities have become limited. She also reviews relevant diagnoses, medications, imaging, and specialist findings.
The examination is individualized. Depending on the concern, it may include positional testing, observation of eye movements, walking and balance measures, strength or mobility testing, and assessment of how symptoms change with movement.
You will receive an explanation of what was found and what should happen next. Bring relevant records, a medication list, and any cane, walker, or other device you use.
